The white fluorescent light flickering on in the bathroom scene has rested in my mind unchanged since I first saw this beautiful film in my teens.

This film’s title refers to the total number of films Fellini had previously directed. These previous works included six full-length feature films, two short segments, and a collaboration with another director. The latter three projects accounted for a “half” film each.
