It was moving to see this film again, a recent gift to me, after so many years. But it was not so much seeing the images as seeing the sound again that I knew so well from the album.

Dylan seems humbled by the circumstances of the film, the purpose of the film. The only other times where he has appeared that way were when he sang a duet of Girl from the North Country with Johnny Cash on the latter’s television show in the mid-sixties (which I have on DVD), and in a live recording of Crazy Love sung with the song’s author Van Morrison.
