As with Huillet/Straub, Hitchcock, and a few others: I can watch anything of theirs and Godard’s with pleasure.
In this case, though perhaps it does not belong to his best, Godard still makes something simple where others (read: the Cohen brothers) can only obfuscate pretentiously on the same subject.
