This film by Roger Vadim is one of the most unusual and erotic films I have ever seen. I don’t know his work. I went to see this film because of Thelonious Monk’s score and Jeanne Moreau: for me, possibly the most stunning actress ever. And she was remarkable in this film. As was the cinematography, the music, and much of the directing: Vadim’s strong interest in beautiful women comes through powerfully and sometimes amusingly.
