I recently watched the trilogy again and enjoyed all three films. They age well.

The influence of Twitter is such that I would like to sometimes move more towards microblogging here in acoolsha. So I logged in via my iPhone and saved the icon to my homescreen. I think that will work well.
The above is also a comment on the movie I am intermittently viewing on DVD, The Box, in the sense that I keep thinking of other things I want to do. I’ll stop watching soon, though at times the dialogue is so awkward and vapid that it becomes mesmerizing.

A Perfect Getaway 13 March 10

I watched this film to the end, partly because it had an edgy quality to it. I wanted to relax with what I call an “entertainment” film and I picked this one because it was described as a thriller and it was set in Hawaii. This evening I realized that for such entertainment films the location plays a role in what I choose — someplace where there is only snow, desert, or a place like Canada, and in this case Hawaii.

Bruce Springsteen, street performance 1988 5 January 10

I came across this link via www.greasylake.org on twitter. Here is a quote from that entry, and the video:
Thanks to a resolute guy with a camera (legend has it he bought the camera on the spot), this performance has been immortalized to Bruce fans everywhere. This is what happened: Bruce was in Copenhagen for another stop of his Tunnel of Love Express Tour. Two nights before the show, street musician John Magnusson and his partner were playing on Copenhagen’s main pedestrian street when he saw Springsteen walk by. He called out to him and asked if he would join. Bruce obliged, borrowed a guitar from Magnusson’s partner and did three songs: “I’m on Fire”, “The River”, and “Dancing in the Dark”. The whole thing of course attracted a major crowd. Perhaps realizing it would end up in chaos, Bruce slipped through the crowd after about 15 minutes and disappeared into the Copenhagen summer night.
